FRIDAY 9TH OCTOBER 2026: PAN-IRELAND OPHTHALMOLOGY DAY

Queen’s University Belfast is delighted to announce two special events happening in October 2026 to celebrate World Sight Day.

 

World Sight Day and Pan-Ireland Ophthalmology Day run annually and focus attention on the global issue of avoidable blindness and visual impairment.

 

Both days will concentrate on blinding eye diseases and will feature presentations from a host of guest lecturers who are all experts in their field both in clinical and basic science.

 

Over the year’s many of you have attended these events and it is always a pleasure to have you there; your support is very valuable to us.
