ICO Annual Conference 2020

* Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Irish College of Ophthalmologists is postponing our Annual Conference in May. The Conference will now take place from Wednesday 7th to Friday 9th October in the Kilkenny Convention Centre.
Dr Neil Bressler and Dr Susan Bressler will co-present the Annual Mooney Lecture and participate in a Retinal Symposium and a separate Retinal Workshop.
Clinical symposia on Ocular Surface and Glaucoma will also feature on this year’s programme.
A symposium to mark the WHO VISION 2020 global initiative entitled 'World Vision: Prevention and Rehabilitation will welcome Professor Clare Gilbert Professor of International Eye Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine where Gilbert co-directs the International Centre for Eye Health.
After its popular introduction at last year’s meeting, the moderated Round Table session returns to the 2020 programme. “Slido” an audience interaction tool will be used at this session, offering interactive Q&A, live polls and insights into audience views.
‘The Great Debate’ is an exciting new feature on this year’s programme – details to follow!
The ICO look forward to welcoming our members and the distinguished panel of international guest speakers to what promises to be a stimulating meeting of discussions focused on the latest clinical and scientific updates and developments in the specialty.

Submissions are invited for paper or poster presentation at the Irish College of Ophthalmologists Annual Conference.

There will be prizes in 3 categories at this year's conference:
1. Best Poster
2. Best Clinical Paper
3. Best Laboratory Research Paper
The John Blake Medal for the Best Research Paper will be presented on Wednesday morning. The best 3 posters will be presented from the podium on Thursday and the best Paper Medal winner will be announced on Friday.
