ICO Announce Clinical Fellowship Bursary in Ophthalmology 2017, Sponsored by Bayer

The ICO is delighted to confirm that Bayer Pharmaceuticals are to continue their annual sponsorship of a Clinical Fellowship Bursary in 2017, to be awarded by the Irish College of Ophthalmologists.

The Fellowship will be open to all senior trainees in the Irish health service, who are nearing the end of their specialist training in ophthalmology.

The following are the eligibility criteria for application;

1. The proposed fellowship must be a high quality learning opportunity

2. The applicant must have been accepted for the fellowship

3. There must be minimal or no funding attached to the fellowship

4. The competition is open to higher surgical trainees who are nearing the end of their ophthalmology training

To apply the applicant must forward;

1. Letter of application detailing the fellowship opportunity and the benefit to the individual and ultimately the Irish health service

2. Applicant CV

3. Letter of support from Fellowship Programme Director including information on what the post entails, weekly timetable and any funding associated with the post

Closing Date for Receipt of Entries - Friday April 28th, 2017

 An ICO nominated panel will decide the recipient, based on the applicants’ CV, the future needs of the Irish Health Service and an interview.
